Fox
Valley Models is proud to announce the 1935
Milwaukee Road Hiawatha Project. This
classic train has been faithfully recreated
in time to celebrate its 75th Anniversary.
When introduced, the Hiawatha was lead by
the sleek and powerful Class A 4-4-2. In

Crafted in state-of-the-art injection molding
with numerous add-on details, the loco includes
a smooth and powerful DCC ready drive. Cars
will
feature metal wheelsets, wire grab irons, knuckle couplers and interior details.
The first run set is now IN STOCK and
includes
Locomotive
#1
in its original paint scheme, Tap-Cafe car, Coaches #4419, 4428 4439, Parlor

Road N Scale Express Cars & Bunk Coaches

|
| These
home built cars were constructed at the same time as the
Hiawatha cars. Express
cars carried mail and express on most Milw trains and also
saw service on numerous other roads. A few express cars even
received full Hiawtha colors as they were added into the
original consist periodically - great for those that want
to add on to the original set. As a side note - when the
Hiawatha was being built, The Milwaukee Road took two of
these express cars and turned them into the Cafe cars for
the new train.
The Bunk Coach is designed around the standard 1935 built
coaches. The main spotting feature is a different window
arrangement. This is for different sections in the car
including fold down bunks for sleeping arrangements. The
cars were intended to carry local passengers and rest areas
for crews on the Olympian Hiawatha, and were also used
on other overnight trains.
. The
new Express Cars and Bunk Coaches will start delivery
at the end of the
year.
