Union Pacific Green MOW A/O Set

The Train Elves at Micro-Trains have been busy putting together add-on sets of Union Pacific MOW equipment. Each 2 car set (really 4 cars-2 with wheels and 2 without wheels) is unique in appearance and follows what one might have seen as railroads across the country turned their older tank cars into company service tankers that served a multitude of purposes. Many were used as siding water stations, for fire fighting purposes, for pesticide tanks or as weed suppression tankers. Many tanks were still mounted on their original underframes however many had their underframes condemned. If this were the case, the railroads would mount the tanks onto flatcars or bulkhead flatcars with heavy wood struts bracing them. Such is the case on the models that the N Scale Collector has commissioned from Micro-Trains.
