EMD SD-50 Diesels
Union Pacific EMD SD-50
EMD introduced the SD-50 in 1/81 with the first units going to KCS. These were designed to replace the SD40-2's on a 2 for 3 basis. A total of 421 standard units were delivered to 13 different railroads.

Features Include:
  • Scale Speed™ motor / low friction drive
  • Directional lighting
  • Golden-White LED's
  • Blackened metal wheels
  • Factory installed DCC Version available featuring NCE Decoders
  • Full pilots with body mount AccuMate® magnetic knuckle couplers
  • Separate plow and winterization hatch that can be user installed.
