GE U25-B Diesels
Atlas General Electric U25-B Diesels
Built during the 1960's, the GE U-25B is a very "historic" loco ... for it marks the official "entry" of GE into the locomotive making business. Prior to the U-25's, GE had teamed up with Alco to supply them with the electrical components. The U-25 was GE's first solo entry ... eventually they surpassed Alco (now out of business). GE is now the #1 loco supplier to the prototype in the US ... and this is the loco that started it all!
