as their original version which lacks the detail and vastly
improved mechanism of the new model. Be very careful of "sales"
or you may end up with the old version! BLW is only offering
the new Bachmann Spectrum edition! |
This
is an all new run ... please do not confuse these with the
old Bachmann Dash 8-40CW's you might have known many many
moons ago. This is an all new loco from the ground up with
the following leading edge features:

new DCC ready frame

cast low friction split frame mechanism

colored Celcon(R) handrails, separately applied

It
may seem odd that we would highlight in BOLD print
the "ultra-fine detail parts" --- but of
all the improvements made by Bachmann, this is perhaps
the most important (after performance). Older Bachmann
locos often had chunky HO scale detail ... these "new
and improved" locos are a vast improvement. In
the words of George Orwell, "Less is More".
Congratulations Bachmann on a superb job! You gotta
see 'em up close to appreciate what a fine job was
done on these. Bachmann's only mistake - Rapido couplers!
