H-21a 4 Bay Hoppers

| The
Model: This is Bowser's H-21a Quad Hopper car.
They are fully assembled and ride on the early "crown"
style truck and are equipped with Rapido style couplers.
The cars are easily converted to Micro-Trains® using
#1015-1 (assembled) or 1015 (kit) body mount couplers
(not included). Cars
come complete with coal loads! Underframes are
painted to match car body. |
| The
Prototype:
These early "quad" hoppers were put into use
in the early 1920's. While the model is based on a Pennsy
prototype, many other roads used very similar types
of hoppers. The model can easily be "updated"
and converted to a more modern style car by changing
the trucks to a Micro-Trains® #1000 Bettendorf. |
