The Kato "early" SD40-2's, both with and
with-out dynamic brakes, were a very limited run offering.
You should know that the SD40-2 Early body shells shown below
will fit on the Kato SD40-2 Snoot Nosed mechanism.
SD40-2 body shells include
shell, railing, airhorns, window glazing, headlight lenses,
couplers. The number boards are not included with the body
